This is an extremely rare signed copy - signed and inscribed by the author to 'The Folks' on the first end paper (the author's parents). Popular juvenile science fiction series - a major influence on writers such as Iain M Banks. Very Good book in Very Good first state jacket with correct price on flap. No marks or writing. Some fading and softening to the bottom of the spine. No foxing. Some repair tape (old) to the rear of the jacket spine. Two small scrapes to pastedowns (probably from where a temporary cover was attached). Some small brown marks and creases here and there. Overall a nice copy of a very rare signed copy of this popular book. Very Good / Very Good. Item #249
