The book was an expansion of the novella “The Fireman” which was itself an expansion of ideas expressed in “The Pedestrian” and “Bright Phoenix”. Fahrenheit 451 is a landmark of science fiction and has been adapted for tv, radio, cinema, stage and computer games.
